Antrodia cinnamomea possesses various bioactive properties, particularly its antitumor effects demonstrated in in vitro cancer cells and in vivo animal models. Recent research has progressively advanced to human case studies, preclinical, and clinical trials.
This is a 2019 case study on a small cell lung cancer (SCLC) patient, jointly published by Tzu Chi University's Department of Pharmacy, Tzu Chi Hospital, Kaohsiung Medical University, and National Dong Hwa University in the European international journal Medicina. It is the first case report to discover that Antrodia cinnamomea has therapeutic effects on SCLC patients.
