At the 22nd China Straits Innovation Project Results Fair (referred to as "Haichuanghui") currently being held in Fuzhou, various Antrodia Cinnamomea products are on display in the Fujian-Taiwan Integration Exhibition Hall.
"Antrodia Cinnamomea was traditionally used as a folk medicine in Taiwan, known for its detoxifying, liver-protecting, and immune-boosting properties, and has high medicinal value," said Li Huirong, who brought various Antrodia Cinnamomea derivative products from Taiwan's Huatuo Fungus Biotechnology Co., Ltd. to participate in the Haichuanghui for the first time.
Antrodia Cinnamomea, also known as Antrodia Camphorata, is a unique edible and medicinal fungus in Taiwan, growing in the hollow interiors of decaying Cinnamomum kanehirae trees or on the damp surfaces of fallen trees at altitudes between 450 and 2000 meters. In Taiwan, Antrodia Cinnamomea is regarded as the "King of Medicines."
Li Huirong, who has been in the Antrodia Cinnamomea industry for over a decade, told China News Network that Antrodia Cinnamomea is highly accepted in the Taiwanese market and sells well. "We hope that Antrodia Cinnamomea-related products can enter the Mainland market in the future, allowing more people to understand its value."
As a symbol of cross-strait traditional Chinese medicine exchange, Antrodia Cinnamomea has seen frequent interactions and close industry exchanges. This year's Haichuanghui invited the Taiwan Antrodia Cinnamomea Industry Association to participate, showcasing the results of cross-strait Antrodia Cinnamomea industry exchanges, promoting the establishment of a sister association between the Fujian Antrodia Cinnamomea Association and the Taiwan Antrodia Cinnamomea Industry Association, and signing a cross-strait Antrodia Cinnamomea standard integration agreement, laying the foundation for cross-strait Antrodia Cinnamomea industry integration.
"With the rise of sub-health and various diseases, Antrodia Cinnamomea, known for its liver-protecting and kidney-nourishing functions, has significant market value," said Ye Zongming, Chairman of the Taiwan Antrodia Cinnamomea Industry Association. He believes that while Antrodia Cinnamomea originates from Taiwan, the Taiwanese market is small, and the Mainland market is vast. "We hope to introduce Taiwanese Antrodia Cinnamomea products to Mainland China, establish a foothold in the Mainland, and then promote them globally."
In Taiwan, there are over 8,000 Antrodia Cinnamomea-related enterprises, hundreds of Antrodia Cinnamomea products, and nearly 10 Antrodia Cinnamomea industry associations. At the Fujian-Taiwan Integration Exhibition Hall of this year's Haichuanghui, Lai Qing'en, the person in charge of Taiwan Kanghua International Biotechnology Co., Ltd., introduced a high-concentration Antrodia Cinnamomea drop pill product in detail. "We have changed the traditional capsule form and used biotechnology methods to extract Antrodia Cinnamomea into small particles, which can enhance human absorption."
Lai Qing'en stated that he hopes to gain a deeper understanding of the Mainland traditional Chinese medicine industry through the Haichuanghui platform, engage in exchanges and cooperation with the Fujian Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, improve Antrodia Cinnamomea-related products, and jointly promote cross-strait Antrodia Cinnamomea industry development.
In the view of the Fujian Antrodia Cinnamomea Association, this year's Haichuanghui saw cross-strait industry associations jointly participate in the exhibition, aiming to use Antrodia Cinnamomea as a starting point to drive college student innovation and entrepreneurship, support rural revitalization, leverage the technical strength of the Fujian Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine to establish an "Antrodia Cinnamomea Product Quality Evaluation Center," conduct innovative research on Antrodia Cinnamomea, achieve rapid and effective transformation of scientific research results, attract more cross-strait enterprises engaged in Antrodia Cinnamomea product research and development, result transformation, and product promotion, and build an Antrodia Cinnamomea industrial park in Mawei District, Fuzhou, to promote the agglomeration development of the Antrodia Cinnamomea industry.
